Analysis of confined masonry with strengthening around the opening

Abstract Analysing confined masonry (CM) with strengthening around the opening (analytical model) was conducted numerically. The variations were centric and eccentric doors an ratio of 16.93% 31.75%; windows ratios 10.16% 19.05%. This analysis aims to apply procedure for analysing CM models by using layered shell elements also comparing behaviour performance each model. frames modelled in SAP2000 software done nonlinear static pushover analysis. starts making a validation model based on other experimental work structure form without openings openings. results show that both have load-displacement diagrams similar results. By same modelling method applied analytical model, it found large less strength than small ratios, more robust
